YNGWIE MALMSTEEN On 'Maximum Threshold'; Audio Available

The "Maximum Threshold" radio show taped an interview with legendary guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen yesterday (Thursday, December 18). The program invited the public to participate in the questions segment and received "hundreds of e-mails prior to Yngwie coming on the show," according to host Domonic Rini. "We had numerous submissions which were duplicates and tried to ask all questions that were e-mailed by the deadline."

The interview, which will air on the regular Saturday night (December 20) show between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST, is now available online at this location.

"Perpetual Flame", the new album from Malmsteen, sold around 2,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Short audio samples of all 12 tracks that appear on "Perpetual Flame" can be found on the 7digital.com web site.

Released on October 14, the CD is the first-ever Yngwie effort to be issued via Rising Force Records (distributed via Koch) and it marks the debut of Malmsteen's new singer, ex-JUDAS PRIEST/ICED EARTH frontman Tim "Ripper" Owens.
